Aruba for Two
The island where the two of you slow down
Honeymoons, proposals, weddings, anniversaries. The occasions differ, but the island treats them the same way: warm water, a sunset that shows up on schedule, and nowhere you have to be.
Golden hour, Eagle BeachWhy couples pick Aruba
The sunset is the one thing you do not have to plan
Aruba sits outside the main hurricane belt and sees under 18 inches of rain a year, so the week you booked is very likely the week you get. That reliability is why the island fills with honeymooners and proposals: the light goes gold over the west coast almost every evening, and the water stays calm enough for a slow swim before dinner. Start with the occasion below, then build the days around it.

A base that feels like the trip
For most couples the real choice is Eagle Beach quiet versus Palm Beach lively. Our romantic hotels shortlist compares the boutiques, the adults-only options, and the one private island, each with its honest trade-off.
The table
Dinner after the sunset
The island does candlelit courtyards, toes-in-the-sand tables, and fresh catch straight off the dock. Our dining guide marks the ones that fit a slow evening for two, not just a big night out.
Questions couples actually ask
When is the best time for a honeymoon in Aruba?
Aruba works year round. The island sits outside the main hurricane belt and gets under 18 inches of rain a year, so even the fall "wet season" usually means a short evening shower. December to April is peak season with peak prices; late spring and summer bring the same weather with better rates.
Where should couples stay in Aruba?
The Eagle Beach low-rise area is the quiet, romantic side: wide sand, small boutique hotels, spectacular sunsets. Palm Beach is livelier, with high-rise resorts, restaurants, and nightlife in walking distance. Our romantic hotels guide compares the specific properties.
Can you legally get married in Aruba?
Yes. A civil ceremony performed by an authorized Aruban official is legally binding, with documents submitted to the Censo office in Oranjestad at least 14 business days ahead. Many couples instead marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony on the island, which simplifies the paperwork. Our wedding guide covers the full process.
How do you photograph a proposal in Aruba?
Book a private golden-hour photoshoot with a local photographer and let them pose as a beach photographer working nearby. Sessions start around $125 per person, take 30 to 60 minutes on a west-coast beach, and deliver an edited private gallery afterward.
Want the whole occasion planned from the island?
