If you booked your last Aruba trip more than two years ago, the hotel landscape on this island is no longer the same one you remember. 2026 is the biggest year for new hotel openings in Aruba in over a decade, and three of the brands arriving on Palm Beach and Eagle Beach are reshaping what luxury looks like on the island. Whether you are planning a honeymoon, an adults-only escape, or a return trip with your family, this is the guide to every major new hotel in Aruba 2026. What is open, what is opening soon, what each property is actually like, and which one is the right fit for your trip.
I have spent the last few months talking to general managers, walking construction sites, and pulling rates so I can give you the honest version. The Caribbean Journal will tell you everything is amazing. I will tell you which of these openings is genuinely worth the price tag and which one to wait on.
## The Westerly at Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort (opening April 2026)
The biggest news in Aruba hotels this year is The Westerly, a new 161-room oceanfront tower built directly into the existing Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino on Palm Beach. The Westerly is essentially a resort-within-a-resort: an adults-skewing boutique tower with its own check-in, its own pool, its own rooftop terrace, and its own concierge, but with full access to the existing Hilton's beach, casino, dining, and amenities.
What makes this one different from a normal Hilton wing is the design. The Westerly offers oversized guest rooms with deep balconies that face directly out to the Caribbean. The ground-floor rooms include adults-only swim-up units that open onto a private pool. A layout you usually only find at Mexican all-inclusives. The crown jewel is Terrace on 10, an adults-only rooftop bar and dining space on the tenth floor with full panoramic views of Palm Beach and the western horizon. Having walked the floor plan, I can tell you the sunset views from Terrace on 10 are going to be among the best in any hotel on the island.
Who it is for: couples, honeymooners, and anyone who wants the polish and amenities of a full-scale resort without sharing every lounger and elevator with a kids' camp. The Westerly is an adults-leaning experience while still letting you walk five minutes to a family-friendly main pool if you want it.
Who it is not for: travelers with kids who want their own dedicated kids' club. Stay in the main Hilton tower instead, or look at the Riu Palace.
Rates: starting around $650 to $900 per night for early-2026 dates, with peak holiday weeks running $1,100+. Reservations are open now for stays starting in the first half of 2026, with The Westerly officially debuting in April 2026.
## The St. Regis Aruba Resort (now open)
The other massive 2026 entrant is the St. Regis Aruba Resort, the brand's first property on the island. St. Regis brought 252 keys including 52 suites, full-service butler service for every room (a St. Regis signature), an oceanfront pool deck, and the kind of formal Caribbean luxury that makes the rest of the island's hotels suddenly feel a little more casual.
This is the most aspirational opening on the island in 2026. Rates start around $1,000 per night and climb sharply for suites, but if you have ever stayed at a St. Regis elsewhere. Bali, Maldives, Bora Bora. You already know the formula. The bed turn-down ritual, the morning coffee delivery, the Bloody Mary at the rooftop bar, and the level of service that anticipates what you want before you ask. It is not subtle, and that is the point.
Who it is for: travelers who want the absolute top of the Aruba luxury market and are willing to pay for it. Honeymooners with a real budget. Special-occasion trips.
Who it is not for: anyone looking for value, anyone who wants a more casual barefoot-Caribbean vibe, and anyone whose ideal vacation involves wandering the island. St. Regis pulls you in. You will find yourself spending more days on property than you planned.
## Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort (reopened, fully renovated)
The more affordable 2026 story is Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort, the boutique Dutch colonial property right on Eagle Beach that just reopened after a complete top-to-bottom renovation. Amsterdam Manor was already one of my favorite places to send couples and small families who wanted Eagle Beach proximity without the resort price tag. Post-renovation, it is even better: refreshed studios with full kitchens, upgraded beachfront access, and a more contemporary look while keeping the charming Dutch architecture that made the place distinctive in the first place.
Rates: $200 to $400 per night depending on season and room type. This is the best mid-range value on Eagle Beach in 2026 and the room you should book if you want the legendary Eagle Beach sunset out your front door without paying boutique-luxury prices.
Who it is for: couples who want a quiet Eagle Beach base, families who want a kitchen for breakfast and snacks to keep the budget under control, longer stays of 7+ nights where the kitchen pays for itself.
## Which new Aruba hotel should you book in 2026?
If money is no object: book the St. Regis. You are paying for the service ritual and the brand experience, and you will get exactly what you paid for.
If you want the best value in new luxury: book The Westerly at Hilton. Same Palm Beach location, same Caribbean view, real boutique tower experience, at roughly half the cost of St. Regis.
If you want Eagle Beach without breaking $400 a night: book Amsterdam Manor. It is the only mid-range Eagle Beach option that has just had a major refresh, and the location is unbeatable.
If you are returning to Aruba and have already done the resort thing: skip the new openings entirely and look at Bucuti & Tara on Eagle Beach instead. It is older, smaller, adults-only, and it is the romance benchmark every other Aruba hotel still gets compared against.
## What else is changing in Aruba in 2026
Beyond the headline openings, the ABC island is in the middle of the busiest tourism year of its history, with record visitor numbers and a wave of smaller refreshes across the existing hotel inventory. Several Palm Beach high-rises have completed quiet room renovations in the last 12 months, and the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino in downtown Oranjestad continues to be the only hotel with its own private island (home to the famous flamingo beach).
