The pool setup is a genuine strength: there is a main family pool with a swim-up bar, and a separate adults-only H2Oasis pool for guests who want a calmer stretch of water away from the family scene. There is also a Mandara Spa on property and a club-level Tradewinds tier that adds a private lounge with food and drinks throughout the day for guests who upgrade.

The location: the far north end of Palm Beach
The Marriott sits at the northernmost point of the Palm Beach high-rise strip, past the Ritz-Carlton, which puts it at the quieter end of an otherwise busy corridor. That north-end position is a real trade-off worth understanding. On the plus side, you are one step removed from the densest, loudest part of the strip, and the beach immediately in front of the resort tends to feel a touch less frantic than the middle of Palm Beach. On the other side, you are a longer walk from the heart of the boardwalk restaurants, bars, and shops, so you will do more walking, or grab a short taxi, if you want to be in the middle of the action every night. This is the part that trips up more bookings than anything else, so here is the clean version. There are three separate Marriott-branded properties clustered at the north end of Palm Beach, and they are not the same thing.

Marriott's Aruba Surf Club and Marriott's Aruba Ocean Club are Marriott Vacations timeshare resorts that sit right beside the hotel. They rent villa-style units with full kitchens and separate living space, which makes them popular with families and longer stays, and non-owners can book them through Marriott channels. The Surf Club is the larger, more family-driven of the two, with high-rise buildings, the bigger pool complex, and a lazy river. The Ocean Club is smaller, lower-rise, and generally the quieter, more relaxed of the pair. Neither includes a casino of its own, though guests can walk to the Marriott hotel's Stellaris.

The Marriott is a strong fit for social couples who want a lively resort with a casino and bars a short walk from bed, for casino-goers who want the gaming floor downstairs, and for flexible families who value ten dining options and a big pool over a quiet, intimate feel. The adults-only H2Oasis pool means couples inside a family-heavy resort still have a calmer corner to retreat to.

Second, the resort is big and busy by design. The pool deck, the casino, and the lobby carry a real buzz, especially in high season. That energy is exactly what some travelers come for and exactly what others are trying to escape, so let it steer your decision rather than surprise you.
