Why a Jeep, and not a car

Where the road ends, the island begins

The west coast is easy. Anything with four wheels will take you to Palm Beach and back for dinner. The other Aruba, the one with divi trees bent flat by the trade wind and a coast that looks like it belongs to another ocean, asks for clearance and low gear. Arikok covers a fifth of the island, and the track out to Conchi, the Natural Pool, is rock and rut the whole way.

That is the whole case for the Jeep. Roof open, the day open to whatever you find: the cactus corridor, the ruins on the windward side, the cove nobody put on a map. You go at your own pace, stop where the light is good, and come back salt-crusted and dusty with a day nobody sold you a ticket for.

UTVs are not allowed inside Arikok National Park; the Jeeps are, which is why this page is about the Wrangler and the Gladiator.

One route, start to finish

A day with the Jeep

Their team hands out the map and the restaurant advice with the keys. This is the run most first-timers end up driving, using our own beach and experience notes for what is actually out there.

  1. Morning

    The keys come to you

They deliver free, wherever you are: the airport, the cruise port, most hotels and Airbnb places. You get the Jeep and a free road map marked with their own tips on where to eat and explore.

  2. Stop one

    Arikok National Park

A fifth of the island, unpaved and quiet: the Fontein and Guadirikiri caves, the windward cliffs, wildlife that ignores you. Their Jeeps are permitted inside. The park entrance fee is not part of the rental.

  3. Stop two

    Conchi, the Natural Pool

A volcanic rock formation that traps a sheltered tidal pool on the north coast, reachable only by 4x4, ATV, horseback or on foot. Getting there is half of it. You float while the swell breaks over the rim a few feet away.

  4. Stop three

    California Lighthouse

The northwestern tip, named after a steamship that went down nearby in 1891, with 360 degree views over the dunes and Arashi below it. The crew name it among their own top destinations.

  5. The long way back

    Baby Beach, southern tip

About 40 minutes from the hotel strip: a shallow, calm lagoon and the gentlest water on the island. Worth the drive on the day you want the Jeep to earn its keep in both directions.

  6. Evening

    Back to Oranjestad

Returns happen at the crew's office in Oranjestad, open Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Airport returns are not available, so plan the last leg into town and your ride to the terminal from there.

Two Jeeps, one decision

Enclosed boot, or an open bed

Both are four-door 4x4s with removable tops, both seat five, both are allowed into the park and out to the Natural Pool. The only real question is where your cooler rides.

Beside the daily rate there are also 4 hour and 8 hour blocks, so check which one the booking window applies to your dates.

Google reviews of the crew's own Jeep rental profile, 5.0 from 23 reviews when we read them on September 9, 2026. Quoted as written, trimmed only for length. The stars on each card are that reviewer's own rating, so the one four-star review shows four stars. They describe individual days, not the terms: where a review and the published rules differ, the published rules and the crew's own confirmation are what hold.

Who hands you the keys

A family business at the foot of the park

The crew is a family, and their own line about it is that they treat others how they want to be treated. The Jeeps live at their office in Oranjestad, which is also where every rental comes back to. Getting one to you is free, at your hotel, the airport or the cruise port; getting it back to them is the leg to plan, because their Jeep page rules out airport returns.

The reviews above are the Google reviews of the crew's own Jeep rental profile, read on September 9, 2026 and quoted as written. We keep the rating and the count exactly as Google showed them that day, 5.0 from 23 reviews, and the stars on a card are that guest's own rating, never an average. We add nothing of our own.

  • Fuel: the Jeep comes back at the level you got it, or $20 per 1/8 tank

The crew's published wording, not ours. The tax and the park fee are the two that surprise people, so they are here rather than in the small print.

Where the Jeep goes back

Free pick-up and drop-off means delivery: the Jeep comes to you, at the airport, the cruise port, your hotel or an Airbnb, at no charge. Going back is where people get caught out. Their Jeep page publishes that returns happen at their office in Oranjestad and that airport returns are not available, while their FAQ still lists the airport and the port under free pick-up and drop-off, and vehicles may not be left in a public airport parking lot without prior approval from their office. All of those lines were on their pages when we read them on September 12, 2026, so we quote them instead of picking one, and the return point the crew confirms with you in the booking window is the one that counts. Past renters describe the Jeep being collected from their hotel, and that is their day rather than a published rule, so plan the last leg into Oranjestad unless the crew tells you otherwise.

Before you book

What a Jeep day actually adds up to

The rate you see everywhere is the base rate, and their 15 percent tax and fee lands after booking. Rather than leave you to do that sum in the booking window, here is the arithmetic worked out on their published numbers, with the refundable card hold kept out of it where it belongs.

One day, Jeep Wrangler

Rental, one day at the published from rate
$259.99
Their 15 percent tax and fee, added after booking
$39.00
Indicative one day total
$298.99

$500 refundable security deposit, held on a credit card at pick-up and never part of the total above

The cheaper of the two Jeeps, and the one most people take for a single park day.

One day, Jeep Gladiator

Rental, one day at the published from rate
$279.99
Their 15 percent tax and fee, added after booking
$42.00
Indicative one day total
$321.99

$500 refundable security deposit, held on a credit card at pick-up and never part of the total above

The same 4x4 with the open pickup bed behind the cab, $20 a day more before tax.

Seven days, Jeep Wrangler

Rental, seven days at $129.99 a day, the rate their booking window showed for a seven day Wrangler when we checked
$909.93
Their 15 percent tax and fee, added after booking
$136.49
Indicative seven day total
$1,046.42

$500 refundable security deposit, held once on a credit card at pick-up, not once a day

A week costs roughly half the daily rate of a single day, which is the whole argument for booking the days you want in one go.

Deliberately not in those totals

  • Optional CDW+ at $24.99 a day, with a $3,500 deductible for Jeep damages
  • An additional driver at $4.99 a day, and infant, child or booster seats at $4.99 a day each
  • The one way luggage ride, which their own pages price differently in two places
  • Arikok National Park entrance, paid at the park gate rather than to the crew
  • Fuel: the Jeep comes back at the level you got it, or $20 per 1/8 tank

Where the real number comes from

Our own arithmetic on the crew's published rates, read on September 9, 2026. It is an example, not a quote: their booking window prices your own dates and is the number that counts.

A single day and a week are priced on different scales, so read the one that matches your trip rather than multiplying the day rate. Nothing is charged on this page.

Extras, if you want them

  • CDW+$24.99 per day

Optional coverage with a $3,500 deductible for Jeep damages. Their FAQ lists what it does not cover, including prohibited off-road driving and driving on white sand, dunes, mud or water.

  • Additional driver$4.99 per day

Every driver has to be listed and authorized in the rental agreement, and be 23 or over.

  • Infant seat, car seat or booster seat$4.99 per day each

Infant seats for babies under 1, car seats for kids 1 to 5, booster seats for kids over 5.

  • Luggage ride, one wayPriced in the booking window

Their own pages carry two different one time prices for this, so the figure the booking window confirms is the one that counts.

What they need from you

  • The minimum rental age is 23
  • A valid driver license at the time of rental
  • A credit card at the time of rental: the security deposit is credit card only, no debit cards and no cash
  • $500 security deposit on either Jeep, released automatically by the bank, which can take 14 to 21 business days to show in your account
  • Every driver named and authorized in the rental agreement, each of them 23 or over

Pick-up and return

  • Delivery is free: the crew brings the Jeep to you at Aruba Airport, the Cruise Port, most hotels and Airbnb places

Returning the Jeep is the leg to plan, and it is set out in full in the return note higher up this page, under Not in the price.

Book your Jeep

Pick your dates, book your Jeep

Pick your dates, your Jeep and your pick-up spot, and the breakdown of rental, extras, tax and deposit fills in as you choose. You pay the published rate in the window; nothing is charged on this page itself.

Before you open the window

  • The window books their whole fleet, so the rules line at the top is written for their UTVs: UTVs rented between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, returned at the office. It is not a limit on a Jeep.
  • The return location opens on Cruise Port. That is the window's starting value, not the rule: on their own Jeep page returns happen at the office in Oranjestad, so set your return with the crew before you pay, and ask us if the list will not offer it.
  • The pick-up location opens unselected, so choose yours before you check availability.
  • There is no Jeep-only link into the window: it opens on the fleet and you pick the Wrangler or the Gladiator inside it. Checked on September 12, 2026.

  • Rentals longer than one day price up in the booking window; if the window will not take your dates, ask us

The honest fit

Is this your day?

We would rather lose a booking than put you on the wrong morning. Read both sides.

Book it if

  • You want Arikok and the Natural Pool on your own clock: their Wrangler and Gladiator are permitted inside the park
  • You are five or fewer, since both Jeeps seat five
  • You are hauling gear: the Gladiator bed swallows coolers, chairs and wet snorkel kit
  • You would rather drive the north coast than follow a convoy, with unlimited mileage either way

Skip it if

  • Nobody in the group is 23 or over, which is their minimum rental age
  • You are travelling with a debit card only: the $500 deposit is held on a credit card, and the bank can take 14 to 21 business days to release it
  • You need to leave the vehicle at the airport, because returns happen only at the crew's office in Oranjestad
  • Your week is beach chairs and restaurants on the strip, in which case our own car guide says most visitors do not need wheels every day

How booking works

Three quiet steps, no surprises

Pick your dates and your Jeep

Pick-up date and time, return date and time, pick-up location and return location. The window books their Jeeps and UTVs together, so the UTV hours banner and the Cruise Port return it opens on are theirs to change with you, not your Jeep rules. Rental, extras, tax and deposit fill in as you choose, and this page stays open behind it.

Pay the published rate

The rate you see is the published rate, and our share comes out of it rather than on top. A 15 percent tax and fee is applied after booking, separate from the base rental price.

They bring the Jeep to you, you bring it back to them

Delivery is free at Aruba Airport, the Cruise Port, most hotels and Airbnb locations, with the free road map and their own tips included. The return is the one that is not symmetrical: it happens at the crew's office in Oranjestad, and airport returns are not available, so agree the return point with them in the window.

Cancel more than 24 hours before pick-up and it is free. Inside 24 hours, one day of rental plus tax is charged, and there are no refunds for early returns. The crew's own words, from their FAQ. What is refundable, and who refunds it.

Good to know

Asked before every rental

Do I need a Jeep in Aruba?

Only if Arikok National Park and the Natural Pool are on your list. Their 4x4 Jeeps are permitted on those routes and their UTVs are not, which is why this page is about the Wrangler and the Gladiator. For a week of beaches, restaurants and the hotel strip you do not need one at all, and our own car guide is honest that most visitors do not need wheels every day.

How much is a Jeep rental in Aruba here?

The published rates start at $259.99 a day for the Jeep Wrangler and $279.99 a day for the Jeep Gladiator, before tax and before optional protection. A 15 percent tax and fee is applied after booking, separate from the base rental price, so on our own arithmetic a one day Wrangler works out at $298.99 and a one day Gladiator at $321.99. The $500 security deposit is a refundable hold on a credit card and is not part of that total, and optional protection, extra drivers, child seats, fuel and the Arikok entrance fee sit outside it too. Those figures are an example on their published rates, read on September 9, 2026; the booking window prices your own dates.

Can I drive into Arikok National Park and to the Natural Pool?

Yes. Their 4x4 Jeeps, the Wrangler and the Gladiator, are allowed to drive to the Natural Pool and other permitted off-road destinations in Arikok National Park. Their UTVs are not allowed in the park at all. Park entrance fees are not included in the rental.

Is there a mileage limit?

No. They state unlimited mileage on all their rentals.

Do they deliver the Jeep, and where do I return it?

They deliver free: the Jeep comes to you at Aruba Airport, the Cruise Port, most hotels and Airbnb locations. The return is not the mirror image, and the return note on this page, under Not in the price, sets out every line their own pages publish about it.

What will the booking window show me?

It is the crew's own window and it books their Jeeps and their UTVs in one flow, so the rules line at the top is written for the UTVs: rented between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, returned at the office. That is not a limit on a Jeep. The return location opens on Cruise Port, which is the window's starting value rather than the rule, so set your return with the crew before you pay. The pick-up location opens unselected, and there is no Jeep-only link into the window: you pick the Wrangler or the Gladiator inside it. Checked on September 12, 2026.

How old do I have to be, and what do I need to bring?

The minimum rental age is 23. You need a valid driver license and a credit card at the time of rental. The security deposit is held on a credit card only, debit cards and cash are not accepted, and every driver has to be listed and authorized in the rental agreement.

How big is the security deposit and when do I get it back?

It is $500 on the Jeep Wrangler and $500 on the Jeep Gladiator. They state the deposit is released automatically by the bank and can take 14 to 21 business days to show in your account.

What is included in the rate?

All rentals include 4x4 capability with the Jeeps allowed in the National Park, a free road map with their own tips, free road service, Natural Pool access, free delivery of the Jeep to you, unlimited mileage, and liability insurance in the standard rate. Optional CDW+ costs $24.99 a day with a $3,500 deductible for Jeep damages. If an accident happens and you are at fault, an accident fee of $250 applies.

What happens if I have to cancel?

Cancel more than 24 hours before pick-up and it is free. Cancel inside 24 hours and one day of rental plus tax is charged. There are no refunds for early returns, and a reserved Jeep is held for 2 hours after the scheduled pick-up time.

Where can I not take the Jeep?

Their terms rule out white sand, dunes, mud, ocean water and large puddles, and any off-road stretch closed by a sign, with a $250 fine plus towing and damage costs on top. Fuel comes back at the level you got it, or $20 per one eighth of a tank.

Can I rent for more than one day?

Yes, and a week is priced on a different scale from a day, so never multiply the day rate. The booking window prices multi-day rentals directly: a seven day Wrangler came out at $129.99 a day when we checked on September 9, 2026, which is $909.93 for the week plus their 15 percent tax and fee of $136.49, an indicative $1,046.42 in total, with the same single $500 refundable hold. That is our arithmetic on their published numbers, not a quote. If the window will not take your dates, ask us.
