The honest comparison
De Palm Island or Catamaran Cruise?
One is a full all-inclusive day on a private island with water slides, a guided snorkel tour and unlimited food and drinks. The other is a 2.5 hour catamaran sail with snorkeling and an open bar. On the island the helmet dives, the cabanas and getting close to the flamingos are paid upgrades bought on the day, while a distance view of the flock comes with the standard ticket. Both depart from the mainland and both are shared, group experiences.

The real trade-off
The helmet dives, the cabanas and being among the flamingos are paid upgrades bought on the island, not part of admission. A distance view of the flock comes with the standard ticket.
It's a shared cruise with other guests, and food on board is snacks rather than a lunch.

Prices are in US dollars and each one carries its basis: per person, per vehicle or per boat. A per-vehicle or per-boat price covers the whole group, so it does not line up one for one against a per-person amount.
Both open on Viator, with no extra fee from us. We may earn a commission when you book through our links. Confirm the current price and terms on Viator before paying.
