The Balashi Beer Experience has been open since October 4, 2026, and the pages that describe it still do not tell the same story. We live here. We read the operator's own site and Aruba.com's October 7 note on November 5, 2026, because a walkthrough this new is exactly where a price and a closing time get invented.
The worry is practical. You want one indoor plan that does not depend on the beach, and you want the price, the clock, and the age rule before you leave the sand for it. It is a real 18+ beer and culture walkthrough at Gloria in Oranjestad. It is not the brewery. It is not a stop for children. If you are a visiting adult, plan on a start price of $39. That is Aruba.com's figure for island guests, and it is the activities page's figure for non-citizen visitors.
What you are actually walking into
Aruba.com, in its October 7, 2026 news post, calls the Balashi Beer Experience an adults-only, self-guided tour with tastings and virtual animations, open to the public since October 4. The same note says Balashi has been on the local beer market since 1999, and that it is the only beer brewed and bottled in Aruba. The beer in that account is a pilsner made with desalinated ocean water, malt from Scotland, and hops from Germany. The line on the bottle, "Di nos e ta," is Papiamento for "It's ours."
The operator's homepage describes the visit with different numbers, and the difference matters. It calls the Balashi Beer Experience Aruba's 18+ beer-and-culture tour, held at Gloria, and says that in 90 minutes you move through 12 rooms, with 2 cold Balashi beers on every ticket. Aruba.com's opening write-up, three days after the doors opened, called the same visit an hour-long tour through ten themed rooms, with a virtual guide it names Buchi. The homepage uses Buchi too, as a brewmaster who appears in the scenes. The activities page then talks about guided moments and guided tastings, and the house rules say some areas are only part of guided experiences. "Self-guided" is the tourism board's word. "Guided moments" is the ticket page's word. Both were live on November 5. We are not going to collapse them into one.
What Aruba.com is clear about, and this matters if you were picturing a working brewhouse, is that this is not the plant. The note says the experience is not an actual brewery. Guests get a large screen for a 360 degree look inside the real plant, which is in Balashi, and a circular tank room with 28 seats where the brewing process is staged until a beer appears. The operator's own site lists the Balashi Brewery as a separate place, where the beer is made, distinct from the walkthrough at Gloria. If the thing you wanted was the factory floor, this ticket is the wrong address.
We are not going to describe the rooms as if we had walked them with a camera. The operator publishes its own photos. What follows is only what those pages, and the October 7 tourism note, actually say.

What the ticket costs, and what is in the glass
On November 5, 2026, two official start prices were on the page, and they are not the same sentence.
Aruba.com says the entrance fee starts at $39 for island guests. The attraction's activities page says tickets start at $30 for locals with a valid Aruba ID, and at $39 for non-citizen visitors. If you are visiting and you do not carry an Aruba ID, $39 is the start price on both pages. The $30 figure is the local start price on the activities page, and it is not in the Aruba.com note. Neither page is a checkout we run. Recheck the current ticket on the operator's activities page before you count on either number. Hours and prices move, and the ones in this post are the ones we read on November 5.
The activities page is more specific than "two beers" about what the adult ticket includes. Admission, a beer tasting of 15cl in the Rum Shop bar, one token for a second tasting in the Balashi bar, and access to the shop, the interactive zones, and a photo booth. The homepage still says every ticket comes with 2 cold Balashi beers. Aruba.com describes the pours in a third way: a small taste of the pilsner in the Tapa Cora Tasting Lounge, then a full-size beer you choose as Balashi pilsner, a lighter Chill, the fruity Magic Mango, or the 0.0% Malta. Those three descriptions are not one measured pour, and we are not going to pretend they are. The activities page is the list attached to the ticket. Read it on the day you buy.
Combination packages exist. Aruba.com says packages with lunch, dinner, or a movie are available. The activities page lists a lunch package at P.F. Chang's or Olive Garden, a dinner package, and a movie package at Gloria The Movies (VIP/IMAX) with a medium popcorn and a soda. The dinner package's own bullet, on the page we read, still says lunch at P.F. Chang's or Olive Garden, plus one drink that can be a Balashi, a soft drink, or a house wine. The page does not print a dollar price for any package. We are not going to invent one. If a reseller shows you a package number, treat it as theirs until the official ticket says the same thing.
The activities page also says groups can book, including a private reservation, and it does not print a group rate. Ask them for that number. We do not have one. The same page says a ticket can be rescheduled or refunded inside a posted window, and the window itself was not printed there. Read the window on the ticket. The age line, which is printed, is the one to believe before you pay for anyone under 18.
The honest caveat on eating here: Gloria's restaurants, as the operator lists them, are P.F. Chang's, Olive Garden, and a Starbucks, with an IMAX in the same building. That is a useful roof when you want to stay put after the walkthrough. It is not an Aruban kitchen. If the meal is why you came inside, use the dining directory and the Aruba food guide, and let this ticket be the beer, not the dinner.
One more door that does not need a ticket. The homepage says the Balashi bar is open to visitors 18 and older with no ticket required. If all you wanted was a cold beer, that is the smaller stop. The caveat is simple. The bar is not the walkthrough, and the age line still applies.
There is no Balashi Beer Experience product in our tour catalog, so there is no booking link here for one. If the afternoon you actually wanted was a boat, a sail, or another tour on the island, current departures in our catalog are on the activities page.
How long to give it
Give it the longer number.
The homepage says 90 minutes and 12 rooms. The location page says most visits run about 2 hours, and that entry windows vary by date. The activities page says the visit typically lasts around 2 hours, because people stay for the two included drinks. Aruba.com on October 7 said an hour, and ten themed rooms.
The caveat on the clock is that those are all current official sentences, and they do not match. A ship all-aboard, a dinner reservation, or a taxi you already ordered should be planned off about 2 hours, not off an hour. If your date is tight, the short figure is the one that will leave you late.
Hours, last entry, and who cannot come in
The hours do agree. The homepage, the location page, and the activities page all say Monday to Sunday, 10am to 8pm. Aruba.com says the same thing: open daily from 10am to 8pm. On November 5 the site header read "Today: 10am-8pm | Last Entry: 6:45 pm." Plan on last entry at 6:45 pm. Do not read 6:45 pm as the closing time. The published close is 8pm.
The location page also says last entry is set 1 hour before closing. One hour before an 8pm close is 7:00 pm, which is 15 minutes later than the header. We are not going to smooth that over. The header's 6:45 pm is the last entry printed on the day we read the site. The "1 hour before closing" line is the rule they also print. Recheck the ticket, because the location page says entry windows vary by date.
The age rule is why this is not a family afternoon. The homepage calls it 18+. Aruba.com says only guests of 18 years and older are allowed in, and that a valid government-issued ID may be required. The house rules say alcohol is served only to guests 18 and older, and that ID may be required. The activities page adds the money consequence: tickets bought for guests who do not meet the minimum of 18 are non-refundable, and if someone is turned away for being under 18, or for having no proof of age when it is asked for, no refund is issued. If the group includes children, pick a plan that wants them. Our rainy-day activities guide is the indoor list that is not built around a bar.
Dress is part of the same door. The house rules, on the location page and the activities page, say swimwear, wet clothing, and shirtless entry are not permitted, and that muddy or heavily soiled clothes are not permitted either. Guests coming straight from the beach or a tour are asked to change first. Outside food and drink are not allowed. Parking, those same rules say, is at your own risk. The activities page also says tickets come with timed entry, and that walk-ins are welcome only if there is room. It recommends reserving on cruise-ship days, when Oranjestad is busy. That is their note. It is not a countdown from us.
Where it is, and the address that is the wrong one
You want Gloria, not the plant.
The operator's location page puts the Balashi Beer Experience at Caya Dr. J.E.M. Arends 8, Oranjestad, inside the Gloria Entertainment Center, and calls that central Oranjestad. It says taxis and buses from the hotel strip or the cruise port know the route, and that drivers use the free Gloria parking lot. Aruba.com describes the same place as the Gloria entertainment complex near Eagle Beach, on Avenida Nelson Orlando Oduber, the road formerly called Sasakiweg, and says you will know it by a tall golden beer tank and the red crown cap. Aruba.com also says the experience is wheelchair accessible and that there is an elevator. We did not see that wheelchair line on the operator's location page on November 5, so if a chair is part of the plan, ask before you pay. The phone printed on the operator's site that day was +297-5976853.
The caveat on getting there is distance, not the parking lot. Free parking at Gloria is not a walk from a Palm Beach chair. If you are on the hotel strip without a car, this is a taxi or a bus, which is what the location page itself says. For a transfer or a car for the rest of the week, start at the booking desk. Once you are in town and you want the capital on foot, the Oranjestad guide covers the streets outside the lot.
Do not type "Balashi" into the map and drive to the plant. The plant is a different place. The walkthrough is at Gloria.

Is it worth it
For the right pair of adults, yes. Everyone with you is 18 or older, you can show an ID if they ask, you have dry clothes, and $39 for a visiting adult is a number you already accept for an indoor beer-and-culture hour. The homepage's promise is 12 rooms and 2 cold Balashi beers in 90 minutes. The safer block on a calendar is about 2 hours, with last entry at 6:45 pm.
The operator's own site sells the visit as the indoor break: step inside when the day is hot, and treat it as a rain-or-shine stop. That pitch is theirs. The caveat is the door. The pitch only works if every person with you is allowed through it. Children are not. A wet swimsuit from the beach next door is not the outfit they asked for. And the ticket still is not a tour of the brewery.
It is the wrong spend if you came for an Aruban plate. Eat that meal from the dining directory, then decide whether you still want the walkthrough, or whether the 18+ bar is enough. It is also the wrong spend if you only needed a roof and a plan that includes the kids. The rainy-day guide is the better page for that hour.
The island around this opening was not empty, and that is a separate fact from how busy this room is. The Government of Aruba's release of the Aruba Tourism Authority September 2026 results, dated October 22, 2026, counted 114,517 stayover visitors, 761,557 visitor nights, and an average length of stay of 6.7 nights. That is the island's stayover count for September. It is not a headcount for this attraction, and it is not a forecast for your week.
The verdict
Go if your whole party is 18 or older, you can live with a $39 visitor start price, and you want the beer-and-culture walkthrough rather than the factory. Plan about 2 hours even though the homepage says 90 minutes. Arrive before the 6:45 pm last entry we read on November 5, and change out of beach clothes first. Use the $30 start price only if you have the Aruba ID the activities page asks for. Skip it for a family afternoon, for a true brewery tour, and for a local meal. Those three wishes are real, and this ticket does not answer them. The activities list, the dining directory, and the Oranjestad guide do.
